Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what personal data Listase collects, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
1. Who we are
Listase is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email hello@listase.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
Account details (name, email); identity and verification data (from your identity check and a short ownership video); property information and Material Information; offers, viewings and messages; payment references (handled by our payment processor, not stored by us); and usage data such as pages visited, collected to run and improve the service.
3. How and why we use it
To provide the service and perform our contract with you; to verify identity and title and prevent fraud (a legal and legitimate-interests basis); to process payments and completion fees; to improve the product; and to meet legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering checks where they apply. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
4. Verification videos
Your ownership video is stored in a private, access-controlled location and is never shown publicly. We keep it as evidence that verification took place, which protects buyers and helps prevent fraud. It is retained only as long as needed for that purpose and to meet our legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
Our verification provider (identity), HM Land Registry (title), our payment processor, and, once you accept an offer, the conveyancing and mortgage partners you choose. We also use trusted hosting and analytics providers who process data on our instructions. We do not sell your data.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting or fraud-prevention obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can ask us to act on any of these by emailing hello@listase.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies, security and transfers
We use a small number of cookies, described in our Cookie Policy. We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Where data is processed outside the UK, we ensure an equivalent level of protection through approved safeguards.
